Tehuti Networks Partners with AMCC, Molex and
Fulcrum Microsystems to Demonstrate 10GbE Backplane
Ecosystem at NXTcomm 2007
Demonstration to produce a comprehensive
data traffic simulation of streaming video
AUSTIN, TX – June 18, 2007–
Tehuti Networks, a semiconductor company providing
10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) single-chip, low-power
network TCP/IP controllers, will participate with
AMCC, Fulcrum Microsystems and Molex in a public
demonstration showcasing a 10G Backplane Ecosystem
in Molex booth #3754 at NXTcomm 2007, June 18-21
at the McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.
The demonstration consists of a Tehuti Networks
TN3016-D controller that will transmit data packets
to an AMCC QT2055 evaluation board. The 10 Gigabits
per second (Gbps) signal from the AMCC board is
sent across the Molex I-Trac reference backplane
to an AMCC/Fulcrum reference switch. The Fulcrum
switch will forward the data to a second Tehuti
Networks controller. The result is a complete
end-to-end server, backplane and switch server
10 Gbps solution with streaming video outputs.
“Tehuti Networks is pleased to participate
in the industry’s first real application
demonstration of 10GBASE-KR backplane Ethernet
with networking industry leaders including AMCC,
Molex and Fulcrum Microsystems,” said Blaine
Kohl, vice president of marketing and sales, Tehuti
Networks. “Not only is Tehuti Networks a
proponent of 10GBASE-KR, but our small-footprint
and low-power controllers are leading the way
for next-generation backplanes.”
The Tehuti Networks TN3016-D is a dual-port 10
GbE TCP/IP controller optimized for applications
sensitive to power and price and is targeted for
server network appliance and server applications,
and two high-speed 10 Gigabit XAUI interfaces.
